World Food Safety Day Symposium at the University of Ghana

In commemoration of World Food Safety Day, the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Ghana, organised a Food Safety Symposium at the WACCI Conference Auditorium under the theme “From Burden to Solutions: Safe Food Everywhere.”

The symposium brought together stakeholders from government, the food industry, academia, development organisations, and consumer groups to raise awareness of the foodborne disease burden and to discuss actionable solutions for improving food safety in Ghana. It featured a keynote, a panel discussion, a stakeholder dialogue, and networking.

Marcell Csanadi, Managing Director of Syreon Research Africa, was invited as a panelist. The discussion covered food safety challenges, partnerships, investments, policy actions, and innovations.
