Publication on minimal residual disease measurement in multiple myeloma trials
We are excited to announce a new publication co-authored by the Syreon Research Africa team: “Increasing Trends of Minimal Residual Disease Measurement in Trials Focusing on Multiple Myeloma Treatment: A Systematic Analysis of Clinical Research Design From 2014 to 2025.”
The paper provides a systematic analysis of how minimal residual disease (MRD) measurement has increasingly been integrated into multiple myeloma clinical trials over the past decade. MRD is a key biomarker, offering sensitive detection of residual cancer cells, an accurate assessment of treatment efficacy, and potential as a surrogate endpoint. The study highlights a growing reliance on MRD alongside persistent heterogeneity in methodology, timing, and reporting, and the need for standardization.
