Second dissemination meeting of the ESSA grant research

Highlights from the second dissemination meeting of the ESSA grant research project “Impact of iron deficiency anaemia on cognitive functions among children under-five years in urban vulnerable communities in Ghana,” held at South Senchi, Eastern Region.

The meeting brought together Ghana Health Service representatives, district assembly representatives, healthcare professionals, NGOs, and community opinion leaders. Discussion covered anaemia during pregnancy; the ESSA grant and the research background; key findings and implications for child health and cognitive development; and future directions for interventions and policy.

The meeting emphasized multi-sector collaboration, nutrition interventions, community awareness, and policy support. Syreon Research Africa thanks the Asuogyaman District Health Directorate, Na God Football Club, ESSA, the REAL Centre, and the University of Cape Coast.
